Who are we?

We are experts in who are passionate about improving communication at all levels: from how your organization is structured to how your processes are implemented to how you resolve conflict interpersonally.

Barbra Kingsley, PhD

Barbra has spent her 20-year career helping simplify the complex. Whether it is facilitating groups through the complex cultural changes they face or redesigning documents used by millions of people, she is focused on helping organizations simplify and communicate more effectively. When we communicate better, we create better outcomes.

Barbra’s work is based in making human connections. We may deal in “things,” but our work is always really about the people. Most – if not all – organizational problems come down to a failure to communicate. How we work together and how we communicate is the engine that drives better outcomes.

Barbra is a listener and an intuitive question asker. She asks the questions to find the true root of issues. She joins her expertise in organizational communication with your expertise in the work you do to create collaborative solutions. She has developed internal communication strategies and training programs for the Department of Agriculture, the Veteran’s Benefits Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Department of Commerce. She has created award winning external communications for the Internal Revenue Service, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Barbra holds a Masters in Organizational Leadership and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. She teaches organizational communication, organizational ethics, leadership, and research methods at the Masters level for the University of Oklahoma and Gonzaga University. Her work has won awards from the National Partnership for Reinventing Government, the Society for Technical Communication, APEX, and the National Association of Government Communicators. She was recognized as an emerging scholar for the Society of Business Ethics.

Alex Miranda

Alex’s work is all about finding patterns. As a star midfielder in soccer, he was the player who searched the field to see the patterns emerge and create the plays that led to goals. His degrees in Finance and Sport Psychology were about continuing to find the patterns – whether on a spreadsheet or in the realm of human performance.

Alex seeks to help organizations search for the patterns in their work. What are the strengths? What are the risks? Where are the potentials for the strongest plays? Are there unconventional strategies that can lead to greater gains? He brings his expertise in sport psychology to identify and correct barriers in human communication and performance. And, as a coach, he helps organizations balance individual contributions within larger communication processes for exceptional teamwork.

Alex holds a B.A. in Finance from the University in Tulsa and is completing an M.S. in Sport Science – focusing on Sport Psychology – from the United States Sports Academy. A gifted and award winning coach, he has worked as Executive Director of NEOFC and coach of the Tulsa Revolution.
